Cindy Impey is a qualified teacher who has taught across the full primary age range. Before joining Ofsted, she gained extensive senior leadership experience as a primary headteacher. She is an experienced inspector and has inspected a wide range of schools, including nursery, primary, secondary, all through schools, special schools, independent providers and teacher training providers. Her particular area of expertise is in teaching English. Cindy regularly undertakes monitoring visits for schools causing concern and those requiring improvement. She also carries out quality assurance of school inspections.
