Di Mullan is a qualified teacher and holds the National Professional Qualification for Headship. Before joining Ofsted, she worked in several primary schools and gained extensive experience as a deputy headteacher and a headteacher. Her responsibilities included whole school assessment, raising achievement and curriculum development. Di was a strategic partner in a teaching school alliance, where she focused on school to school support. She has also worked as an external advisor for the performance management of headteachers and has experience of leading inspections of schools.
