Julie Carrington is a qualified teacher and holds a NPQH and an additional postgraduate qualification in leadership. Before joining Ofsted, Julie held leadership positions as headteacher and executive headteacher in primary and infant schools. She has experience of leading high-performing schools and those in challenging circumstances. She has held responsibilities for school improvement in a large local authority, providing support and challenge to a range of schools including those causing concern.
