Peter Stonier is a qualified teacher, holds a NPQH and the Professional Qualification for School Inspectors. Before joining Ofsted, Peter was an additional inspector and gained extensive experience as a deputy headteacher and successful headteacher in a number of schools. He also has experience of managing a pupil referral unit for pupils who had been permanently excluded from school.
